The Running of the Balls is a fundraising event conducted by the Rotary Clubs of  Leonardtown and Lexington Park to support local non-profit charitable organizations. 

The event staff will drop up to 5,000 golf balls on Leonardtown's Fenwick Street just before the Johnson Lane intersection and let them race, bounce and roll to the finish line gate funnel about 350 feet down Fenwick Street.

All of the balls are pre-numbered. To participate in the Running of the Balls fundraiser, individuals can "adopt" golf balls. The event staff keeps the pre-numbered balls prior to the race and releases all the golf balls at once. The first 30 balls that make it past the finish line win prizes!  See our fact sheet for more information.
